Pennsylvania Prepares For Cheating Gamblers At Casinos
Pennsylvania lawmakers recently legalized table games, and with only a few weeks left before the games go live, they are making sure they have all the bases covered. The Gaming Control Board started preparing for the possibility of the casinos being cheated early on.
The Gaming Board hired a well-known expert from Las Vegas by the name of George Joseph. He has a simple mission, teaching dealers as well as other casino employees to spot and stop cheaters playing games like blackjack.
With the over 4,000 jobs cr
eated from the legalization of table games, as well as the millions of dollars in tax revenue on the line, it is important to ensure that none of this revenue is lost to gamblers who have unsavory intentions or practices. Over the years, many cases of gamblers who work with teams to cheat casinos have happened in the US.
Joseph is scheduled to hold five classes over the coming month all across the state. Table games are anticipated to be unveiled in time for the 4th of July holiday weekend at most of Pennsylvania’s casinos. Alongside blackjack there will be other popular table games like roulette and craps added at these casinos.
For those who prefer slots, the best online casinos are often good enough, but table games give a reason to travel for those who would rather do more than play slots online. It could be that Pennsylvania is looking at becoming the gaming capital for the East Coast. Recent slot revenue in the state has been passing revenue generated at Atlantic City casinos, table games might give the states’ casinos just the boost they require to bring gamblers who would ordinarily go to New Jersey to Pennsylvania.
